10 yr old birthday party

I had donated a basket of goodies & a free class to a friend's school for a fundraiser.  The winner was SO thrilled & decided to use her FREE class for her daughter's birthday party.  Since we want to encourage the youth of today to read they'll be making their own book mark & an 8x10 layout because what girl doesn't want to have pictures of her & her friends hanging in her room!
The sample shown here is 81/2 x 11 so that I can then add it to a 12x12 piece of card stock for my Disney album.  How cool is it that my job allows me to create a page for my own scrapbook! Can you say that about your job?  Want to learn more? click on the "join my team" link to the right to learn more.  If you'd like to have your own class or a class for your child's upcoming birthday then email me & we can work something out.

These projects use Rich Razzleberry 1/2" polka-dot grosgrain ribbon, Cottage Wall DSP, Orchid Opulence cards stock (which are all retiring), Old Olive card stock, Stampin' Up! Backgrounds I Texturz Plate, Embosslits Beautiful Wings Die, Big Shot machine, Ticket Punch, Old Olive classic ink and Phrase Starters II stamp set (retired).

Thanx for stopping by :-)

What's exciting & NEW with Stampin' Up!???

Stampin' Up! has just announced their plans for a color renovation in the upcoming 2010-2011 Idea Book & Catalog!  This is the second color change I've experienced since I joined in 2003.  It took some getting used to but the out come was great & I know this one will be too!  I played around a bit with some of the new color combinations & they are FABOO (my new word, LOL), I really think you guys are going to love them!

Here's what to expect:
  • 10 In Colors are returning to be part of our new color collection
  • 5 NEW colors will be added
  • 5 NEW In Colors will be released July 1, 2010 & will stick around for 2years!!  Then, in July of 2011, 5 more In Colors will be released making it a total of 10 additional In Colors available at all times.
  • So in a nut shell 40 Core Colors & 10 In Colors will make up our NEW Color Collection which are now called Brights, Neutrals, Regals & Subtles.
You'll want to take a look below to see if any of your favorites didn't make the cut & stock up before they're gone.  Once June 30th is here they will no longer be available.  I will be selling my inventory but not until July1 as it's a big NO NO to sell current items.  You may contact me to see what I have & I will hold it for you until then.

A few Projects

OK so a few weeks ago I told you I had a project done.  I can now post it b/c my daughter wanted to give it to him early (his birthday is 4/6).  Below is the picture of his gift which happens to be the project for my upcoming class on Wednesday, April 28th @ 7pm . It will make a GREAT mother's day gift!! The paper used will vary, if you'd like to attend email me.

Here are the projects I made for my occasions/sab mini workshop, a gift bag & bookmark, which we all decided to use as mirror flare instead :-) GREAT IDEA, although I guess we're not much for reading these days lol

this was julie's the one on the left is great but she felt it needed a little something so bam, a little saying makes it complete!

here are Korey's on the left & Toni's on the right, such talent

here are Amanda's creations, her book mark has a certain kind of look, can you guess from what???

Thanks for stopping by hope you enjoyed looking and don't forget if you'd like to attend my upcoming events send me an email

Winter Wonderlude!

Today was the perfect day to post this.  It's been snowing since late last night & I was able to take pictures of all the fabulous things from my weekend getaway & my YIAD card class.  First I'll show you what we made at our INKredible Impressions Winter Wonderlude event.  It was SO great to get away for a few days & see my friends & not have to worry about anyone but ME.  I know that sounds selfish but hey I take care of my family on a daily basis & don't I deserve a little break?  I'm so LUCKY my husband is the MAN that he is.  Now on to the projects.
Here are the Make n' Takes.  We used the On Board Heart Book & Sweet Pea DSP which are in the Occasions Mini on pgs33-34 & The Chalkboard Decor Elements for the mini chalkboard.  The pin was made with fabric & the Stampin' Up! Flower Folds bigz xl die .  Man it's AMAZING to me how much you can make using our products.  We truly sell just about everything for all types of crafters!

On Saturday night we had a shoebox swap.  That's where you cut & have all the supplies for each attendee to make your project.  I so love this type of event b/c we get to be the "student" for a change.  It's a great way for me to learn new techniques too.  Here are most of the projects made, a few still need to be assembled b/c it's ALWAYS a late night & by the time you have 4 projects left you're so beat you can't go on, or you persuade your friends to make some for you ;-) After all they're just sitting around waiting for you to make their card, so why not keep them busy?
This was my card.  I thought it was too cute & just had to have the gals make one.
The group of gals that are in my sideline are the MOST giving, generous & kind woman I think I've EVER met.  Not too many were swapping, but those that did just gave me their swaps.  I tell ya, could I ask for better friends???  Here are the cards I received, talk about talent!

This is the inside of the card that's on the bottom right.

My BFF in stampin' up! or should I say my side-kick Stef demo'd these flowers. I of course was NOT payng attention but will most likely learn it at our next side line mtg.

Now that I've shared the projects I'll share my friends.
Convention '08 gals reunited & all the ladies who helped make this event a success.

Pam Morgan a demonstrator & also an employee with Stampin' Up! came all the way out here from Utah to spend the weekend with us & share some great ideas with us. Stef & I volunteered to do a little demonstration on how classes are great but workshops are BETTER!! Man was it a great motivator for me to get back into that. So if you are interested in having your own workshop, contact me

Here, Pam got some one on one with Stephanie on how to make our little heart book. Here we all are working hard at our shoebox swap!
Ok Lynn Larson was FABULOUS!! This is a small display she showed us for a craft fair. She came all the way from Vermont to be here.  She also showed us all the different things you can make using our bigshot, dies & fabric.
Here we are on our last day having a nice lunch.  It was a great weekend & I'm looking forward to going again in August. If not for the whole weekend maybe just for one day.
Hope you enjoyed these pictures & a little glimpse into my Stampin' Up! world.

YIAD Card Class ~ Bigshot style
Here are the cards we made at my last Craftin' with TLC card class.  While I was making my samples it just so happened that I used the bigshot on all of the cards.  I always try to make these beautiful cards with a WOW to make sure my customers like them.  As you can see these cards are very simple & you know what, that's what they prefer.  They want to make cards that they can re-create at home. They really loved the cards, as did I.  It gave me the oomph to hold more card classes.
Thanx for stoppin' by & hope to see you here again soon!

Sorry I've been MIA

Hello out there, man have I been away for a while or what?  Sorry about that.  I guess I don't realize from November until the new year how hectic I am, between 3 of our birthdays & Thanksgiving in November & then Christmas.  It's hard to keep up.  I'm happy to say that I've been busy scrapbooking & held a class in January.  My annual YIAD (that's Year in a Day) card class will be on Wednesday, February 24th.  If this is one of your favorites then you won't want to miss it, contact me so I can reserve your spot, this class fills up fast!

So now, onto the viewing.  I'm posting the frame we made at my January class & a link to view all the pages I've done.  I hope you enjoy & check back later this month to see the cards we'll be making, plus ALL the projects I'll have made at my weekend INKredible event. I can't wait to get away from it all for an entire weekend.  Should be TONZ of fun!
Thanks for stopping by!

If you missed this class & would like to learn how to make your own contact me & we'll set something up.
