What I've been up to for the past year & a half

Hi Friends, it's been a LONG time.  I have been quite busy with this thing we call Life.
Last we "spoke" I resigned from Stampin' Up!, and started a new business with my husband.  Sad to report that business didn't take off as we had hoped due to lack of time being spent with it.  They say if you don't try you will NEVER know if you will succeed.  Well, we tried & I have NO regrets just sad we couldn't make it work :-(

On a happier note, it seems I just can't stick with one job (pre-school assistant) I have to have my hands in MANY jobs to stay grounded.  Shortly after starting our business I became a Thirty-one Gifts Consultants.  This past year & a half has been GREAT, I recently started my very own team, Team TLC and have 5 downline.  I'm hoping to promote shortly to Sr. Consultant & then by December I'd like to make Director.
I fell in luv with the products when a co-worker had a party, I was drawn to them b/c they have a "Vera Bradley" feel to them but for cheaper prices.  I decided to sell b/c I LUVED the products and wanted to be part of another DSA company & also see if I could actually make some $$ to help pay for the fun stuff on vacation. I'm happy to report that a year and a half later I did JUST that and am now focusing on really taking my business to the next level.  I'd like to see just how far this takes me (hoping to the top).  I would LUV to be able to say to my husband "guess what, go ahead & quit that job of yours, I got this!".  How rewarding would that be?  This company is SO much more than bags, it has helped me become the Woman I was meant to be!  If you would like to learn more about this amazing company, you can visit my website; www.mythirtyone.com/tracicamardella or join my group on Facebook called Get Organized with TLC.
I'd love to share this opportunity with you, plus the products we sell are GREAT for you crafters out there!
Forgot to mention we have monthly customer specials that you just HAVE to HAVE.  All my information is posted on both these sites if you'd like to contact me, or you can just click here & email me.  I have a monthly e-newsletter too if you would like to be added to it, just email me & send me your email address.  I'd be happy to add you.

Remember how I said I have to have my hands in MANY jobs?? I wasn't kidding.  I also am an It Works! Distributor.  It Works! Global offers one-of-a-kind, safe, effective and affordable products that will change your life.  Tighten, Tone and Firm in as little as 45 minutes with our one of a kind ultimate body applicator! You can treat your body to health and wellness with our amazing line of all natural skin care and supplements as well...your body will love you and thank you!
I just started this venture & am still learning about it.  I tried it for 3months & went down about 2 dress sizes.  I wasn't sure if it would work but was THRILLED when it did.  I don't have a personal website for this company but I do have a Facebook page that you can "like" to learn more, Get Skinny with TLC.

I thank you all for "following" me & sticking by while I go thru MANY phases in my life.
Talk soon

I've been Missing but I've been in Action

Hello out there, sorry I have been away for months.  One thing about my Stampin' Up! Business is that I can put in as much or as little time as I want.  While I haven't been busy with classes & such, I have been busy creating pages which I'll show you in a bit.

Besides the holidays keeping me busy along with my job, kids, etc. The main reason I've been away is I've become a student again, YIKES!  My job has become part of this Quality Stars Program & they along with Chase Bank awarded grants.  I, along with 3 other co-workers, was picked to go for my eCDA.  This is a credential that will allow me to be a head teacher in a preschool program.  I'm quite excited & overwhelmed all at once.  It's a lot more work than I thought, I had tried about 10 years ago to follow this path but life had other plans for me.  I'm happy that my path has brought me back here.  It's an online course with meeting up with my classmates once a month.  The hardest part about this is putting together a portfolio.  It's a lot of work but will be so worth it in the end!

Now on to some crafts.  Like I said I haven't had my classes but I have been busy scrappin' which is why I became a demonstrator in the first place.  Me & a group of orphaned demonstrators (that means either our direct uplines are no longer active or live far away) we try to meet once a month & share ideas.  I don't have too many to share these days but I LOVE seeing them :-)
When we get together we would make a project & swap cards.  Over the summer we decided to change things up a bit.  We decided to create scrapbook pages, however there's a twist.  Each of us creates 4 of something; the title, the embellishments, the journaling block, the background page & or a border.  We come up with a color combination & theme for our page the night we meet.  Then when we get together the next month & put our page together.  It is so much fun & the out come is a way better page than I would have come up with if I had to create the whole page ;-)
Now I'll share the pages we created. I'm happy to say that I am almost done with my 2010 scrapbook.  But I have Debra's preschool album to finish & I have to start Andi's preschool album, not to mention make our Disney one.  Just when you think u catch up, BAM.
So I will leave you all with my creations.
Thanks for taking the time to stop over & take a look.  Hope to "see" ya'll soon ;-)
If you would like to see all my scrapbook pages you can view them on my facebook page

Page four
Page five, this one is my "flip" page.  The title is so pretty & I wanted to use it but with all the other elements it was too much.  So I chose my favorite layout using the flip.  I take so many pictures & feel I need them all :-)

Here is what's underneath the flip
I felt this one had too many elements also & wanted to use them all.  I purchased these portfolio page protectors at a crop i attended.  The middle page wasn't part of the swap I added that.  below you'll see how it is in my book.

First page of my 2010 album

here are the other two pages the flap open to the right.

10 yr old birthday party

I had donated a basket of goodies & a free class to a friend's school for a fundraiser.  The winner was SO thrilled & decided to use her FREE class for her daughter's birthday party.  Since we want to encourage the youth of today to read they'll be making their own book mark & an 8x10 layout because what girl doesn't want to have pictures of her & her friends hanging in her room!
The sample shown here is 81/2 x 11 so that I can then add it to a 12x12 piece of card stock for my Disney album.  How cool is it that my job allows me to create a page for my own scrapbook! Can you say that about your job?  Want to learn more? click on the "join my team" link to the right to learn more.  If you'd like to have your own class or a class for your child's upcoming birthday then email me & we can work something out.

These projects use Rich Razzleberry 1/2" polka-dot grosgrain ribbon, Cottage Wall DSP, Orchid Opulence cards stock (which are all retiring), Old Olive card stock, Stampin' Up! Backgrounds I Texturz Plate, Embosslits Beautiful Wings Die, Big Shot machine, Ticket Punch, Old Olive classic ink and Phrase Starters II stamp set (retired).

Thanx for stopping by :-)
