I Got My Groove Back!

So I had an open scrapnite/class on the 11th. It was the first time I combined both my events. I had noticed a decrease in my class events so I decided to try something new. I think it went fairly well, even though only 3 of the ladies made the projects they were able to do it at their leisure. They had the option of making a set of 4 money holder cards or a Gift card & Drink Packet or both.

I even got to get some of my scrapbooking done. I'm happy to say I only have 5 more pages to do in Andi's first year book (she'll be 2 in August). So here are the pages I completed, I have my journaling & a few accessories to add but at least they are done.
I also made these cute bookmarks for a customer who wanted to give her PTA staff a little gift. This was her last year as PTA President, I think they came out cute. She laminated them so they would hold up.
Hope you enjoyed this latest post, until next time.....Happy Stamping!
I've been having some "blogger" issues lately which is why I haven't updated in a bit.

End of the Year Gifts

I can't believe that Debra finished her first year of Pre-School. It really seems like only yesterday I was sending her off.
I decided to make the director & her teacher's a little something. The whole class chipped in but I wanted to give something to them b/c the were all SO wonderful!

Here is an 8x10 frame I made for the director. I had found a similar sample & decided to re-vamp it. It uses quite a bit of or products; Pretties Kit, Flower Fusion Too, Home Decor & the Big Shot. Want to make one? Contact me & we can set something up!

I attempted a new way for these coasters, I used our rub-ons. I think they came out very nice. I did spray them to seal. I'm pretty sure they will be "sweat" resistant but if they get scratched the image might come off. These were for the head teacher & her aide's. They all say "Thank You" on them & personalized on the back.

Here are the bags I put them in. Really simple.

The entire class chipped in & we gave them cash so I made these money card holders for them.
If there is anything here you'd like to learn more about just contact me, maybe you could have a class with your friends :-)
Until next time, Happy Stampin'

Spring Fling projects Oh My!

Hello out there, first let me start by saying this is going to be a LONG post b/c I have MUCH to share.
On Saturday I spent the day in New Jersey with my fellow INKsisters. Tina has a bi-annual event for us & this one was Spring Fling. It was a great day spent with old & new friends. But the best part was making what I'm about to show you. I think this will make up for me being away for so long, well I hope anyway.

Mrs. Rodgers Neighborhood
These are the ladies who keep me going creatively
Clockwise from top left Stephanie, Kelly, Me, Patti & Sue. Stef is the "leader" of the pack. She was so kind to take us all in & hold our monthly downline meetings at her house. We all have been orphaned (except Sue bottom left, she's Stef's direct downline) so it's gr8 to get together & create. Sue lives in Pennsylvania & Patti just moved to NC so we only get to see them at these events. And Kelly she is very talented (not that the other ladies aren't) & you'll see with one of the projects below.

Project #1
This has to be my absolute favorite project we've made at one of these events. Tina gave us the website where these frames were purchased so can you say, UPCOMING CLASS!!!! It uses the big shot, beautiful butterflies dies, decor elements, some DSP (designer series paper), ribbon & hemp twine. So simple to make.

Project #2
Wait until you see what this box does......

How cool is this? Now look at what's kept inside...

Birthday/Anniversary Calendar

Cards, Note cards & tags
Wouldn't this make a great mother's day, teacher or birthday gift?

Project #3
This card was designed by Kelly (pictured above). I wasn't too thrilled about it b/c it was the first time I used our NEW POP-UP die & my cake doesn't look too great. But it has grown on me & how fun, now you can make pop-up cards for those kiddies or "grown-up" kids. This dies is currently not available so you'll just have to wait......

My Swap
I haven't swapped in a LONG time but I needed to replenish my cards. This is the card I made (20 card fronts) and I received 20 different ones back. Don't worry I didn't post them all. You'll have to wait & see them in person ;-)

WOW Swaps!!
Here is my WOW swap. What's a WOW swap, well it's a project that makes you go WOW when you see it. I came across this project on splitcoast & decided to make one. It's a pouch made out of a 12x12 sheet of DSP, and it holds 4 cards & envelopes. TOO CUTE don't you think?
This was the first time I participated & let me tell you, it won't be my last. These ladies are SO amazing & talented. So sit back, & scroll down to see some FAB projects.

"Double Magazine Holder", Recipe/Card organizer, Single "Magazine" Holder
How cute, a great way to organize your cards/recipes

Left Picture~ Here we have another box to hold cards (back left) A Cute basket that can make a cute centerpiece filled with what else, CHOCOLATE, a girls best friend ;-) & I'm not quite sure what I'm supposed to do with the thing that has my initial on it but opened up it is TOO cute. It was too difficult to hold open & take a picture of, sorry.
Right Picture ~ Glass etched votive holder & a Tic-Tac-Tote, players anyone????
Here is a close up b/c it's too pretty, can you see the butterfly OK?

Card & Accessory Purse Box
This one was made by my friend Laura & has to be my FAVORITE. I just may attempt to make one. This particular one is empty but it holds cards & envelopes on the inside & then in these outer pockets you can store pens, a little note pad & yup, more chocolate (at least that's what I saw in a sample)

Treat Boxes
These boxes were made using the big shot & our box dies. You can't tell in this picture but the yellow matchbook is "embossed" using our new textured impressions die. These boxes make GREAT favors for any occasion. All you have to do is change the colors & voila you have an any occasion favor.
Well I hope you liked looking at all the WONDERFUL things you can make with paper, stamps & more. If you liked anything in particular & would like to learn more just email me & we can set up a class/workshop with you & your friends!!
Until next time
xoxo
