First Day of School ~ 8x8 Chipboard Album

Hello out there, I hope this post finds you welcoming the fall like weather with great joy! I don't know about you but I LOVE the fall. I know it's technically not fall until Sept. 21 but it sure feels like it. Now that my daughter is in school I truly can remember what it was like growing up. Weird how those memories come to the surface once we have children. So I'd like to share a few photos of Deb on her first day of preschool (she's in the 4's class this yr) WOW!

For all u mom's out there to girls, Hannah Montanna seems to be the "new" thing for the 4yr old.  All I have to say is, it's a good thing I like her music!! She picked out her outfit, right down to her princess socks (at least she hasn't "grown-up" that fast).

OK, so this seems to ber her new "pose" for pictures. Gotta luv it
Ah there's my little peanut.  When u stand back she looks so little. God I love this Kid!

Now onto some "craftin" :-)
I made this album at one of my INKredible events a few years ago. It's been sitting on display ever since. It's our 8x8 on board chipboard album & I just love them. You can create the entire look & feel you want your album to have. So I figured since I ordered like 1,000 pictures (the online site I use had FREE shipping) I needed a home for the many pictures that just couldn't go into the scrapbooks. I tell ya I have to either A, stop taking so many gr8 shots B, stop ordering the pictures or C, add them to the projects I've made. So I did just that, I hope you enjoy viewing them. Michelle's annual summer class

For the past two year's Michelle likes to get her friends together & have a class. It's a great way to see those she doesn't very often, me too as I they have all become such dear friends of mine. I also look forward to this b/c she keeps me on my toes for ideas. We always make a scrapbook page, card & anything BUT. So here they are, hope you enjoy. If this is something you'd like to do, well then contact me & we'll set something up.
Happy B-day 2 pg 12x12 layout
I found this sample on splitcoast & knew it would be perfect for the class. It uses 2 sheets of whisper white 12x12 card stock & the Happy B-day simply scrappin' kit (SSK). No stamps 7 EASY to make!!
Happy B-day Card
This card came right out of the catalog, see how simple that was? I find it so hard to come up with ideas that I regularly find something & either copy it exactly of change something, in this case I used the ice circle rhinestone brads instead of the button. This card again uses whisper white card stock for the base & the happy b-day SSK.
Desktop 2010 Mini-Calendar
I again visited splitcoast & found some various samples for this project & this is what I ended up making. I used the big shot & the top note die (my favorite die, so versatile). The designer paper was a level 1 hostess benefit from last year's catalog Prints Pack II. Some grosgrain ribbon, lg oval & scallop oval punches, adhesive & dimensional & voila a cute little calendar. If I decide to do the craft fair again I am DEFINITELY making these!!!
Well I hope you liked what you saw today & don't forget to contact me if you'd like to have your own class.

Designs by TLC

So I had my first official Designs by TLC project. My godmother called and asked if I would make her girlfriends bridal shower & wedding invitations. Of course I said YES YES YES!!!!

I was all gung ho & excited until I got the colors, lavender & salmon pink. The closest colors we have to those are our lavender lace & cameo coral which are very pretty but not so elegant for a bridal shower or wedding. So I took it upon myself, with asking the bride-to-be of course, if she wouldn't mind vanilla & chocolate. Once she agreed I knew JUST what to do. I broke out the Big Shot & got started. Here are the bridal shower invites & thank you cards. I incorporated her colors in those. Oh did I mention that we no longer sell vanilla note card sized envelopes? So those were copied, cut & assembled....I can't take credit for those though, my friend Amanda helped with them, along with helping me design the wedding invitations.
Card Stock: Pale Plum, Very Vanilla & Chocolate Chip
Classic Ink: Pale Plum, Lavender Lace, Cameo Coral & Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Ivory Wide Organdy Ribbon (discontinued), Big Shot, Top Note Bigz Die & Manhattan Flower Textured Impression Embossing Folder
Stamp Sets: Manhattan Flower & Wonderful Words (retired)
Adhesives: Snail Adhesive

Here are the wedding invitations & thank you cards, I again incorporated her colors in these. The invitation itself is the envelope. I liked the square b/c I think it's elegant for a wedding but we no longer sell the envelopes so that is what we came up with.

Card Stock: Pale Plum, Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip & Vellum
Classic Ink: Pale Plum, Lavender Lace, Cameo Coral & Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Big Shot & Background 1 Texturz Plate, Eyelet border punch, Sponge
Stamp Sets: Thoughts & Prayers & Sincere Salutations
Adhesives: mini glue dots & snail adhesive

If you or anyone you know is looking for custom handmade invitations please feel free to contact me.

Until next time
